The Law
* 20 people die at work each year directly from electric shock and burns. Hundreds more are left with horrific and debilitating injuries!

Stringent health and safety legislation places ever-increasing demands upon your company’s internal resources and penalties for non-compliance are severe. You have the responsibility to provide a safe working environment and ensure that your workers and contractors are competent. Regulation 16 of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 states that persons are to be competent to prevent danger and injury. The memorandum of guidance on the regulations states “Employees should be trained and instructed to ensure that they understand the safety procedures which are relevant to their work”.
